The ACLU fights for The Affordable Care Act

I tweeted about this particular cause, because I know first hand how having unaffordable health care can affect families, as I have 4 dependents, and Healthcare is about 1/3rd of my paycheck. Its really hard to maintain all the things a family is supposed to, and I have a decent job. I cant imagine what its like for families that work jobs that dont pay that much.

The ACLU is using social media to help fight for the Affordable Health Care Act. I think that the act itself needs a lot of work, but overall, it has allowed people to be covered who really really needed it. To repeal it without resolving the implications for those individuals and families is going to be a very unwise decision for our government.

The ACLU has a great video with people that actually will be effected by the repeal. I think the ACLU has used their influence and social media presence wisely to get the attention of the publics and our government as well. See more below:

I retweeted a twitter post on March 23rd 2016 at 10:37 pm, which was an article written by the ACLU National regarding the Affordable Care Act being repealed, showcasing people who really need medical care and what would happen if they did not have medical care. The article and YouTube video was titled “The ACLU National: How would repeal of the Affordable Care Act affect your life? We asked. You answered. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.”
